Retrieval starters, end-of-topic quizzes and exit tickets, written for your class and what they've just been taught. Numbered questions, a Name and Date line, and the answers on their own page at the end.
You know what you taught. Did they?
The retrieval starter
You want five quick questions on last week's work before the new lesson. Writing them takes longer than the starter itself.
The quiz you write from your notes
An end-of-topic check means going back through your planning, picking the questions and then writing out the answers to mark against.
The exit ticket on a sticky note
Three questions on the board, thirty sticky notes, and no time to make one at the right level for the group that found it hard.
Baker knows what your class has been learning and sends back the quiz, numbered, with the answers on the last page.
Quizzes built from what your class has learned.
Tell Baker what you taught. It keeps it, and every quiz checks the right things at the right level.
It remembers what you taught
The unit, the key words, what came up last week. Ask for a retrieval quiz and Baker mixes in earlier topics as well as this week's.
Two on the Vikings from last term, three on the Anglo-Saxons from this week.Answers on their own page
Questions numbered on the front, answers on a separate page at the end, so you can mark fast and print the quiz without them.
Ten questions, answers on the last page. Print the rest for the class.A version for each group
Same topic, different levels. Ask for an easier quiz with a word bank or a harder one with "explain why" questions and you get a PDF for each.

What Baker doesn't do (yet).
Quiz questions teachers ask first.
What does a Baker quiz look like?
An A4 PDF with a title, the year group and subject, a Name and Date line, numbered questions with lines to write on, and an answer page at the end for you.
Can I print it without the answers?
Yes. The answers are always on their own page at the end, so print the question pages for the class and keep the last page for marking.
What question types can it do?
Short answer, multiple choice, true or false, fill the gap and "explain why". Ask for the mix you want, or say how long they've got and let Baker choose.
Can it do an online quiz or mark it for me?
No. Baker makes printable quizzes. There's no online version, no auto-marking and no scores.
Can I get versions for different groups?
Yes. Ask for an easier version with a word bank, or a harder one with "explain why" questions, and Baker sends a separate PDF for each.
How much does it cost?
Your first resource is completely free: no card, no account, just text. After that the Baker plan is $20 USD a month for unlimited messages. Text PLAN any time to see the details.
How do I cancel?
Text CANCEL and confirm with YES. You keep Baker until the end of the month you've paid for and you won't be charged again. Changed your mind? Text KEEP.
Is it safe to text about my pupils?
Use first names or group labels ("the blue group"). Baker won't store surnames, medical or special-needs details, and it says so if you send them. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
